Box Archaeological and

Natural History Society (Box NATS)

Regrettably we have had to put activities on hold currently due to coronavirus.

Pat Davies has sent the following message to Box NATS following her recent illness:
I would like to thank all the members of Box Nats who sent me get well cards on my recent illness. They were gratefully received while I was in hospital and the pretty cards and wishes cheered me up. I can't thank you all individually so hope you read this.   I am pleased to say that I am back home and gradually on the mend doing a bit more every day. Hope to see you all again one day.
Pat Davies

Box NATS is a community group for people interested in the archaeology and natural history of Box in Wiltshire. The Society  was formed in 1969 by two teenagers following an excavation of the Ramano-British strucrures under the village.  See Mark Corney's book: The Roman Villa at Box.

The Society organises outings to places of interest during the summer. During the winter there are monthly talks about local history and natural history on subjects of interest to members.  You can see some of the events from the photos below or please go to the heading Talks & Outings to see more.
